MODULE 2:
GOAL SETTING

LECTURERS:

PUAN ROSNANI SIDEEK
PUAN HAMIDAH

WHAT ARE GOALS?
Goals are the ends towards which we direct our effort. It`s what we want to achieve. Goals are important in university life because they help motivate you to do work, attend classes and study for the exam. You can actually improve your academic performance in the university by learning to set goals that motivate you to do well in the future.
Next, goals are a general guideline that explained what you want to achieve in your community. They are usually long term and represent global visions such as “protect public health and safety.’
Lastly, the objectives of goals are to define strategies or implementation steps to attain the identified goals. Unlike goals, objectives are specific, measurable, and have a defined completion date. They are more specific and outline the “who, when, what, where, and how” of reaching the goals.

SETTING GOALS FOR THE NEW SEMESTER

1.      To come early and attend all classes.
2.      To complete all assignments provided by the lecturers.
3.      To get the dean`s award.

WRITING EFFECTIVE GOAL STATEMENTS

LONG AND SHORT TERMS GOALS
1.      My long terms goals are to get Dean`s Award in every semester and finally get the Vice Chancellor Award.
2.      My short terms goals are to improve my time management to come early to every class.
